Salón de Racionistas ("hall of rations" on the map it was built in 1886 in the style of eclecticism and historicism by the famous Valencian architect joaquín María Arnau Miramón (1849-1906). The building was commissioned by the Gran Asociación Domiciliaria de Nuestra Señora de los Desamparados, a charity Dedicated to distributing food aid to families of the unemployed.
